In an era where digital security is a moving target, Member Minder Pro remains committed to staying one step ahead. As the steward of your organization’s most sensitive data—from private member contact details to club financial ledgers—we recognize that a simple password is no longer a sufficient “front door.” We are pleased to announce a significant hardening of our infrastructure, centered around the rollout of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
This update isn’t just a single feature; it’s a comprehensive upgrade to our security protocols. We are implementing a “defense-in-depth” strategy that ensures even if a password is compromised, your data remains behind a secondary, impenetrable wall.
Why 2FA is the New Standard
Two-Factor Authentication adds a critical second step to the login process. After entering your password, administrators will be prompted to provide a unique, time-sensitive code generated by an app on their mobile device or sent via SMS. This ensures that only authorized individuals with physical access to a trusted device can gain entry to the administrative backend of your EZWebsites, DACdbPlus plugin, or Finance Module.

By enabling 2FA, you are effectively neutralizing the threat of phishing and brute-force attacks. For club treasurers and secretaries, this provides an invaluable peace of mind, knowing that the “keys to the kingdom” are uniquely tied to their personal biometric or physical devices.
Managed Security and Proactive Hardening
Beyond 2FA, our WordPress Hosting and managed services have received an under-the-hood security overhaul. We have implemented automated threat detection that monitors for suspicious login patterns and unauthorized attempts to access the database. This layer of protection works silently in the background, blocking malicious IP addresses before they even reach your login page.
Our hosting environment now also includes daily “deep-scan” malware removals and mandatory SSL encryption for every page of your site. This ensures that when a member enters their credit card info via EZ Giving, the data is encrypted from the moment they click “submit” until it reaches the secure payment processor.
“Data security isn’t a one-time setup; it’s a continuous commitment to the trust our members place in us every time they log in.”
Setting Up Your Secure Access
Transitioning to these higher security standards is simple. Administrators can find the new security toggle within their user profile settings. We have designed the setup process to be intuitive, requiring less than two minutes to link your account to a standard authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy).

We strongly urge all members, and most importantly members of a District Leadership Team, Club Presidents, Secretaries, and Treasurers to make this their first task for the new quarter. Leading by example in digital safety sets a tone of professionalism and care for the entire membership. Over the coming weeks, we will be releasing a series of “Security Quick-Tips” via the Ignite App to help your members understand how they can also improve their personal account security.
